Heart Health Screening Process in Depth

1) Select a package that is right for you. When you're ready for your Heart Health Screening, go to the packages page and find the right package and price combination for you. We offer three different packages: The Essential Package, Supplemental Package, and Premium Package. We recommend the Premium package for men 40 years and older and women 50 years and older and for younger clients that have risk factors.

Major risk factors include:
a. Age: Men > 45 ; Women > 55
b. Family History of Coronary Disease: first-degree male relative (father or brother) with heart disease before the age of 55 or first-degree female relative (mother or sister) with heart disease before age 65.
c. High cholesterol
d. History of Smoking
e. High Blood Pressure
f. Diabetes
g. Overweight
h. Sedentary Lifestyle

2) Complete Brief Online Forms: This information is a basic health history and helps us determine your risk for cardiovascular disease. The Framingham risk assessment is a popular assessment tool which incorporates many of these factors. We will also collect contact and payment information. Your contact information is shared with the laboratory and imaging centers. You will not have to complete any further forms during your screening process. You will not receive any confusing bills. Your information will not be shared with any other third parties without your written request.

3) Receive e-mail confirmation receipt with attached detailed instructions on the process and scheduling your tests. We have arranged VIP treatment for our clients with our affiliated laboratory and imaging centers. Information provided will instruct you how to schedule an appointment at your convenience and allow you to whisk through the process without having to fill out more forms or wait a long time for testing. Each Heart Health Screening client is assigned to a personal guide to assist through the process.

4) Your tests are completed. We receive the results within one to three business days depending on the tests.

5) Test results are reviewed by a medical doctor. Your personal summary report is prepared and you are notified by email when your reports are ready. You can log onto your account through the Heart Health Screening website and view or print your online medical report and test results. Alternatively we can mail your results if requested. Accompanying information sheets help you interpret the tests.

Clients are encouraged to follow up with a physician of their choice for further evaluation of abnormal test results. Edwin J. Dean, MD is available for pre-test and post-test consultation through Heart Health Strategies which also provides further evaluation, education, treatment, and monitoring in a unique manner which is comprehensive and saves time and money.
